Unpaid Music is a distribution platform for fully AI-generated and hybrid music.

Mainstream platforms require human authorship and route releases through royalty systems built for individual creators. As a result, AI music is often restricted, de-ranked, or excluded from standard distribution channels.

Bandcamp bans AI music because its business depends on selling scarcity. Spotify embraces it because its business depends on monetizing abundance. AI music is not controversial because of aesthetics or ethics, but because it collapses the economic logic of ownership-based music platforms.

Unpaid Music exists to provide stable publishing and long-term access for this category of sound: music that circulates, is used, and has value, but does not fit existing authorship or compensation frameworks.

"Unpaid" does not refer to human artists. It names a structural condition — production detached from labor contracts and payable authorship.
